KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement South has started conducting online hearings in respect of the review requests pertaining to Assessment Group V to promote faceless interaction with traders.
Sources said that after the directions of Chief Collector Appraisement South Wajid Ali, all the collectorates in South including Customs Port Qasim, Customs Appraisement East and Customs Appraisement West, have implemented these directives. Chief Collector Wajid Ali directed to adopt these measures in view of the Covid-19.
It is pertinent to mention here that traders and clearing agents had been asking the Customs authorities to start conducting online hearings instead of physical interactions.
Online hearings with further strengthen the initiative of trade facilitation and achieve the goals of faceless interactions with trade bodies.
