Customs Appraisement West collects Rs27b in August 2016

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement West has collected Rs27.383 billion taxes duties under various heads in the month of August 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that the Appraisement West has collected Rs27.383 billion that included Rs 10.601 billion under the head of customs duty, while Rs11.756 billion as sales tax, Rs4.852 billion as income tax and Rs174 million as federal excise duty.

Significantly, the sources told Customs Today that the Appraisement West collected Rs2.872 billion taxes/duties on the last day of August i.e. 31, 2016 that included Rs 1.163 billion under head of customs duty, Rs1.182 billion as sales tax, Rs 507million as income tax and Rs 20million under head of federal excise duty.
