KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-West has directed customs agents to submit applications for the renewal of licences, which are going to expire on December 31, 2015.
The customs said that application should be accompanied with complete documents otherwise incomplete application will be dismissed.
According to the information, in terms of rule 96(1)of chapter VIII of Customs Rules 2001 read with SRO 498(1)2009 dated June 13, 2009,all the customs agents whose licences are due to expire on December 31 are required to apply for renewal before the expire date of licences.
Those who fail to apply for renewal of their licences within stipulated time will not be allowed to conduct their customs related business after expiry of the validity period of their licences.
