Customs Appraiser Rashid acquitted

ISLAMABAD: Rashid Akhtar Khanzada, Appraiser (BS-16), posted in Appraisement-East, Karachi, has been acquitted/exonerated from the charges levelled against him.

The disciplinary proceedings, under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 were initiated against Rashid Akhtar Khanzada, while Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq, the then Additional Collector, MCC, Appraisement-West, Karachi, was appointed as inquiry officer.

On the basis of inquiry report, a show-cause notice was issued to the accused, who was later also personally heard by the authorized officer. After going through the inquiry report, show-cause notice and the points raised by the accused during the personal hearing, the authorized officer concluded that the accused officer is not responsible for any delay in processing the impugned GD mentioned in the charge sheet.

The authorized officer/Chief (Management-Customs) FBR acquitted/exonerated Rashid from the charges levelled against him.
