Customs arrests Zambian woman on drug trafficking charges

MULTAN: The Customs official arrested a Zambian national woman who had gulped heroin filled capsules, here at Shaikh Zayed International Airport, Rahim Yar Khan.

The woman, identified as Chiputa Kamasha, arrived at airport for boarding through a flight PK-295 to Dubai, United Arab Emirates where customs official intercepted her due to her suspicious behaviour.

During interrogation Kamasha told customs official that she was pregnant but following the suspicion, officials shifted her to hospital for medical examination.

Medical report revealed that she has swallowed heroin-filled capsules, besides having pregnancy.

Customs officials informed Customs Today that 29 capsules have been recovered from her stomach which has value of Rs 10 million in international market.

Doctor’s retrieved 29 capsules heroine filled capsules from accused smuggler in four days.

Customs Officials have taken the judicial remand of the accused lady from regional Magistrate Muhammad Shafique for further interrogation.
