Customs ASO recovers banned items worth Rs5m in raid at City Station

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has busted huge quantity of smuggled goods worth millions of rupees.

According to the details, a team Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) was constituted to conduct a raid against smuggling of banned items after receiving credible information here on Friday.

All the intelligence based details gathered were shared with the team conducting raid checking were carried out on the railway stations of the metropolitan city and the business hub of the country.

During the checking, the team of Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) recovered huge quantity of explosive material used on the different occasions and events as well as marriages in a successful raid at City Station.

The Custom Preventive officer informed that the recovered banned smuggled item is weighting 460 kilograms which worth Rs5 million in the international market. The source has revealed that such explosive items that are banned comes from China as it is said to be the biggest market of selling explosive material used on the different occasions and events as well as marriages.

The case has been filed and further investigations are underway to trace the exporter as well as importer are involved in this crime.
