Customs ASO seizes goods & vehicles worth Rs2007.36m

LAHORE: The Anti-Smuggling Organization of Customs Collectorate of Enforcement & Compliance on the directions of Basit Maqsood Abbasi, Collector of Customs  headed by  Muteen Alam, Additional Collector, Ali Tauqir, Assistant Collector, Isfandyar Ikram Khan, Assistant Collector, and team consisting of Abdul Hameed Bhatti, Nasir Saeed, Abdul Rehman Butt, Hassan Mehmood, Abdul Ghaffar and M. Asghar Purewal,  inspectors seized huge quantity of smuggled / non-duty paid goods and vehicles during July, 2020 to 13th November, 2020 worth Rs.2007.36 million.

According to the details, after directions of Collector Basit Maqsood Abbasi to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling, the ASO enhanced checking of suspected routes and seized goods include cloth, tyres, cigarettes, petroleum jelly, diesel oil, crockery, dry fruits, medicines, cosmetics, jewelry, charas etc.
