Port Qasim collects Rs173.47b revenue against set target of Rs 177.37b

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate-MCC of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim has collected total revenue of Rs 173.47 billion under different heads including customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) during the period of eight months i.e. from July-14 to Feb-2015 with the shortfall of Rs 3.89 billion, as the FBR had set the revenue target of Rs 177.37 billion during the said period, it is learnt here.

According to statistics, the MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim has collected Rs41792.31million in terms of Customs Duty during July-14 to Feb-2015 against the set target of Rs40552.51 with an increase of Rs1239.80million.

The Collectorate has collected total revenue of Rs107438.57 in share of Sales Tax during the period from July-2014 to Feb-2015 against the set target of Rs113122.96million with the decrease of Rs5684.39million.

The MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim has collected an amount of Rs22443.94million in share of Income Tax during the period from July-2014 to Feb-2015 against the FBR target of Rs22069.21million with an increase of Rs374.73million.

The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs1800.37million in share of FED during the time period from July-2014 to Feb-2015 against the set FBR target of Rs1626.13million with an increase of Rs 174.24million.

Similarly, the MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim has collected Rs156788.13million as total revenue collection in different heads including CD, ST, IT and FED during the same period i.e. from July-2013 to Feb-2014 against the set target of Rs183463.59million with a massive shortfall of Rs26675.46million.

The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs32152.12million in share of Customs Duty during the period of July-2013 to Feb-2014 against the set target of Rs43861.51million with a shortfall of Rs11709.38million.

The MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim has collected an amount of Rs102847.94million in share of Sales Tax during the period from July-2013 to Feb-2014 against the set target of Rs117318.22million with the shortfall of Rs14470.28million.

The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs20302.46million in share of Income Tax during the period from July-2013 to Feb-2014 against the set target of Rs20521.44million with the shortfall of Rs218.98million.

The MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim has collected an amount of Rs1485.60million in share of FED during the time period from July-2013 to Feb-2014 against the set target of Rs1762.43million with a shortfall of Rs276.83million.
