Customs authorities freeze bank accounts of 38 importers

KARACHI: Customs authorities successfully freeze bank account of 38 importers who are found involved in unlawful clearance of clothes through SRO 1125.

Well informed sources told Customs Today that the process of freezing bank accounts of these importers were started in the last week of June, 2015.  The sources of Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigations told this scribe that that in the year of 2014 authorities seized eighty consignments of clothes at Port Qasim who were involved in unlawful clearance by using SRO 1125.
