LAHORE: Customs Preventives Lahore has seized cosmetics and other valuables worth millions of rupees. The cosmetics were being smuggled into the country from the United States, a customs official told Customs Today.
Sources said that goods and articles were being smuggled by a passenger who is a resident of Kalma Chowk.
According to the sources, the customs authorities searched the passenger at the airport and found a large quantity of cosmetics and other valuables from his luggage.
The customs authorities brought 90 kg of US made cosmetics into the notice of Assistant Collector Customs Saqib who seized the cosmetics registered against the accused. Further investigations are underway.
