Customs baggage section revenue up due to holidays of Rabi ul Awal

ISLAMABAD: The revenue collection is witnessing an increase in revenue collection due to holidays of Rabiul Awwal at Customs Accompanied Baggage section.

Ali Asad Assistant Collector that during 27 days of November Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 the AB received Rs2.58 million against assigned proportional revenue target under head of customs duty (CD) amounting to Rs1.80 million, he was added that the AB showed 76% average against assigned proportional revenue target during first 27 days of November FY17-18, he told that the AB was earned Rs1.80 million under head of customs duty (CD) during same period of correspondence November FY16-17.

The Assistant Collector told that during the above said period the AB was achieved Rs.129 against assigned revenue collection target under head of CD for whole month of November FY17-18, he was added that AB was assigned Rs2.00 million under head of customs duty for the month of November FY17-18.

Asad Ali notified that stick watchfulness by on duty customs staff cause the increase of revenue during current month November FY17-18 , he was added that since last two months the AB received approximately Rs.2.5 million or Rs.2.00 million in a month. Customs seized various smuggled goods in worth of Rs.6.398 million during 1st Quarter FY17-18, whereas the AB will be showed much better performance regarding seizers of smuggled goods during 2nd Quarter FY17-18.

Ali said that AB is trying under leadership of Saeed Khan Jadoon Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad to not only achieved its assigned revenue collection target under head of CD whereas it will be surpassed assigned revenue target of 2nd Quarter FY 17-18.
