Customs, boarder security force join hands against fruit smuggling

KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs and boarder security force has joined hands against the elements involved in the smuggling of the fruit smuggled through Iranian boarders.

According to the source, both Customs officers and boarder security force have received bundles of complains against the smuggling of the fruits through Iranian border due to which millions of rupees tax evasion have been noticed on daily basis.

By the smuggling of the fruits not only country is facing millions of rupees loss on the other hand the local farmers are facing problems.

Customs and boarder security force taking serious notice of smuggling of the different items including Apples, Dates, Graps smuggling from Iranian borders have planned to carry out operations near boarders, especially during night to cut down smuggling activities.

Source also informed that on the complaints of Pakistani authorities regarding the smuggling of different items from Iranian borders, Iran has also affirmed to enhance security to hold three-day military drill near Pakistan border for curbing such heinous activities causing heavy revenue damage to both neighboring countries.
