Customs central region collects Rs1,243m WHT in nine months

LAHORE: The Collectorates of Customs, central region, including Appraisement, Preventive Lahore, Customs Multan and Faisalabad have collected Rs 1,243 million withholding tax during the nine months of financial year 2015-16.

As per data the Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 428 million during the period under review against Rs 455 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs 776 WHT while the Customs Multan collected Rs 16.81 million WHT during the period under review.

Similarly, the Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 22 million WHT during the nine months of financial 2015-16, the official data said. Overall, the four collectorates collected Rs 1,243 million WHT during the current fiscal year.
