Customs central region collects Rs 12.77 billion customs duty in five months

LAHORE: The Customs central region has collected Rs 12.77 billion customs duty during the first five months of the financial year 2015-16, exhibiting a growth of 26 percent.

According to official data, the Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 4916 million, exhibiting a growth of 24 present when compared with the corresponding period of fiscal year 2014-15.

While on the other hand Customs Lahore Preventive collected Rs 2724 million during the period under review showing a growth of 9 percent against the same period during the last financial while collectorate of Multan gathered Rs 4425 million customs duty attaining a growth of 44 percent.

In the same way the Faisalabad collectoarte collected Rs 704 million during the period under review showing 36 percent growth.
