Customs Central Region collects Rs 33.16b duty in 11 months of FY2014-15

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region has collected a total customs duty of Rs 33.16 billion during first 11 months (July-May) of the current financial year 2014-15 from Model Customs Collectorate Lahore Preventive, Lahore Appraisement, Faisalabad and Multan.

According to the details, the Customs Central Region collected had collected Rs 38.011 billion during the corresponding period of last year 2013-14, while in current year it could collect Rs 33.16 billion with shortfall of Rs 4.851 billion.

Lahore Appraisement collected Rs 16.263 billion during the first eleven months of fiscal year 2014-15 against Rs 17.616 billion collected during last year 2013-14, while the MCC Lahore Preventive generated Rs 7.493 billion against Rs 6.364 billion of last year.

Similarly, MCC Multan collected Rs 7.702 during July to May of financial year 2014-15 against Rs 12.021 billion, collected during same period of fiscal year 2013-14, while the MCC Faisalabad collected Rs 1.701 billion as customs duty during the period under review against Rs 2.009 billion during the same period last year.
