Customs Central Region collects Rs 44b duty, tax till 15th November

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs 44787 million all duty and taxes till 15th of November of current financial year 2016-17.

As per details the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 21338 million during first four and a half month of financial year 2016-17. Similarly, Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs 9764 million of total duty and taxes during the period under review. The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs 9399 million all duty and taxes during the period under review.

The Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad has collected Rs 3785 million all duty and taxes collecting additional 40 percent additional collection when compared to that of the previous year’s collection during the period of financial year 2016-17.

Overall the Central Region collected total duty and taxes from all the other four Collectrates worth Rs 44287 million during the first four and a half month of financial year 20161-17.

The Central Region collected Rs 62272 million all duty and taxes revenue collection target against the target of Rs 55554 million during the same period last financial year. Sources said that the collectors of all the four collectorate has been told to do more efforts to meet financial year’s targets.

It is necessary to mention here that all customs collectorates are using all available resources to collect more revenue to achieve revenue collection target set for financial year 2016-17.
