Customs Central Region collects Rs 52.79b during five months of fiscal year 2016-17

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region has collected Rs 52,790 million under the head of duty and taxes during (July-November) of the finical year 2016-17.

The Customs Appraisement collected Rs 25,300 million during five months of the financial year 2016-17 against the collection of Rs 26,623 million during the same period of the last year.

The Collectorte of Customs Preventive collected Rs 11,235 million during the period under review against Rs 12,231 million during the same period of the last financial year.

On the other hand, the Collectorate of Customs Multan collected Rs 11,922 million during the period under review against Rs 20,296 million it collected the last financial year.

The Collectorate of Faisalabad collected Rs 4,330 million during the first quarter of the financial year 2016-17 against Rs 3,122 million during the first quarter of the financial year 2015-16. On the whole the collectorate collected Rs 52,790 million during the period under review

Source told Customs Today that Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Samaira Nazir has directed all the collectors under her supervision to speed up collection of the duty and taxes to achieve the financial year’s targets. Besides, the lower staff has also been ordered to put their maximum efforts for the revenue collections.
