Customs central region collects Rs 90b in seven months of FY 2015-16

LAHORE: Customs central region has collected Rs 90.925 billion customs duty and taxes during the seven months of financial year 2015-16 registering a growth of 3 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.

According to details, Lahore Appraisemnet collected Rs 39,142 million registering an impressive growth of 12 percent compared to the same period last financial year.

Lahore Preventive collected Rs 20004 million duty and taxes against the target of Rs 22232 million during the seven months of FY 2015-16.

The Customs Multan generated Rs 27193 million customs duty registering a growth of 3 percent during the period under review against the same period last financial year.

The Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 4584 million duty and taxes against the target of Rs 4,768 million during the seven months of financial year 2015-16. The central region was given a target of Rs 87865.81 million and collected Rs 90925 million.
