Customs Central Region collects Rs115b duty, tax in ten months of FY 2016-17

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs115528 million all duty and taxes during the first 10 months of financial year 2016-17 (July-April).

As per details the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 55285 million during the first ten month while Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs25548 million during the nine months.

On the other hand, the Collectorate of Multan collected Rs25863 million during the period under review.

In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs8830 million during the nine months of financial year 2016-17.

Overall the Central region collected all duty and taxes from all the four Collectrate worth Rs 115528 million.

Sources said that chief office has instructed officials of all the Collectorates to endeavor to achieve the targets given by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and also motivate the subordinates to use all available resources to gather as much revenue as they can do to achieve the targets.
