Customs Central Region collects Rs2782m sales tax in 15 days of Jan.

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs2782 million under the head of sales tax during the first fifteen days of January 2016-17.

As per details the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs1149 million during the first 15 days of the period under review.

Similarly, Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs717 million under the head of sales tax during the period under review.

The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs658 million as sales tax during the month of January of current financial year 2016-17.

The Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs256 million as sales tax during the first fifteen days of financial year 2016-17.

Overall the Central Region collected total sales tax from all the four Collectrates worth Rs2782 million during the first fifteen day of the month of January.

It is necessary to mention here that the Central Region was assigned Rs 8674 million sales tax revenue collection target for the month of January 2017.
