LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs55.62 million as federal excise duty (FED) in November during current financial year 2016-17 posting a growth of 40 percent as compared to the same period last financial year 2015-16.
As per details the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 11 million during the month of November of financial year 2016-17.
Similarly, Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs 17 million as total federal excise duty (FED) during the period under review.
The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs26 million federal excise duty (FED) during the same period under review.
The Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad has collected Rs0.8 million as federal excise duty (FED) while Rs3.76 million were collected during the same period of last financial year 2015-16.
Overall the Central Region collected total federal excise duty (FED) from all the four collectrates collected Rs 55 million revenue during November of financial year 2016-17.
The Central Region has been assigned Rs 39 million federal excise duty collection target against the target of Rs 39 million assigned during the same period last financial year. Sources said that the collectors of all the four collectorates has been told to do more efforts to meet current financial year’s targets while the Customs Central Region Chief Collector Samaira Nazir has also been monitoring all the revenue collection from all stations.
