Customs Central Region collects Rs588m Withholding Tax in 15 days

LAHORE: The Customs, Central Region, has collected Rs588million Withholding Tax during 15 days of January in Financial Year 2016-17.

As per details, the Customs, Lahore Appraisement, collected Rs240million Withholding Tax during 15 day.

Similarly, the Customs, Lahore Preventive, collected Rs335million total Withholding Tax during the period under review.

The collectorate of Multan collected Rs8million Withholding Tax during the period under review. The collectorate of Customs, Faisalabad, has collected Rs3.74million Withholding Tax during the period of Financial Year 2016-17.

Overall, the Central Region collected total duty and taxes from all the four collectrates worth Rs588million Sales Tax revenue during the first 15 days of January of Financial Year 20161-17.
