Customs Central Region collects Rs 8,128m customs duty in September

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region has collected Rs 8,128 million customs duty during September 2016.

The Customs Appraisement collected Rs 4,860 million during September 2016 against Rs 4,437 million during the same period last year. Similarly, the Customs Preventive collected Rs 1,715 million customs duty during September against Rs 1,638 million during the same period last year.

The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs 993 millions during the period under review against the collection of customs duty Rs 1,900 million during September last year.

In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 558 million during the month of September 2016 against Rs 165 million during the same period of last year. Overall the Central Region collected total customs duty from all the four collectrate worth Rs 8128 million.

Sources said that Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir has instructed all the collectors of the four collectors to work hard to achieve the targets given by the board and also motivate the subordinates to use all available resources to gather as much revenue as they can d to achieve the targets for the financial year 2016-17.
