Customs collectors’ conference on April 10 at Wagha border

LAHORE: Pakistan Customs collectors’ conference will be held at Wagha border on April 10 to discuss various customs-related issues and decisions.

Sources told Customs Today that all the collectors deputed at the borders including Wagha border, Chaman border and Torkham border will participate in the conference and discuss the issues and concerns related to trade between Pakistan and its neighbouring countries.

In the conference, the collectors will present their suggestions to enhance coordination among all players working in the border areas, while the Afghan Transit Trade will be an important topic of discussion at the said conference.

Pakistan Customs’ officials will also review the facilities available to boost trade, besides discussing the security-related issues. The customs collectors will also decide a strategy to eliminate smuggling at all the international borders of the country.
