PESHAWAR: Achieving the revenue targets for the financial year 2014-15, the Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar collected Rs 17,894.10 million revenue against Rs 16754.92 million of the previous financial year 2014, with deference of 8.92 percent.
As per the statistical officer of Peshawar Custom House, Rs 6,133.49 million were collected under the head of customs duties while in financial year 2014, the total revenue of Rs 5,697.29 million was collected. The difference in gross figure was noticed Rs 436.20 million, while the difference in percentage was 7.66 percent under the head of customs duty.
The net collection under the head of customs duties was Rs 5,741.54, which was Rs 5,019.76 million in 2014 with difference in Rs 721.78 million, while the difference in percentage was 14.38 percent.
Similarly under the head of sale tax on Import the revenue collection for the financial year 2015 was Rs 5,235.66 million in gross while this figure in financial year 2014 was Rs 5,019.76 million. The difference in rupees was recorded Rs 1,029.69 million while the difference in percentage was 24.23 percent.
The net figure in term of sale tax collection was Rs 5,233.33, which was Rs 4,203 million at the end of financial year 2014. The difference in rupees was Rs 1,029.69 million while the difference in percentage was 24.50 percent.
Under the head of sales tax, the amount levied as FED on palm oil was Rs 2.698.94 million in financial year 2015, while this figure was Rs 3,318.20 million in the previous financial year of 2014, however, the difference in rupees between the two financial years was Rs 1,021.27 million and the difference in percentage was 24.50 percent.
Likewise in term sales tax value addition on commercial importers a total of Rs 689.39 million revenue was collected as compare to Rs 615.70 million in financial year 2014. The difference in rupees was recorded at Rs 73.69 million, while the deference in percentage was 11.97 percent between the two financial years.
Under the head of withholding tax, Rs 2,899.22 collections were made as compare to previous financial year’s Rs 2,680.12 million. The difference in rupees between the two financial years was Rs 219.10 million, while the deference in percentage was 8.18 percent.
