Customs Court adjourns Ayyan’s currency smuggling case until September 28

ISLAMABAD: Customs Court Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed adjourned the hearing of a currency smuggling case against supermodel Ayyan Ali until September 28.

According to details, Ayyan Ali appeared before the Customs Court in the currency smuggling case. However, Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed deferred the indictment.

Sources said the customs authorities informed the court that the matter was sub judice in the high court and the copy of high court’s decision had not been received yet.

On the other hand, Ayyan Ali’s counsel Latif Khosa said that the court had given verdict in his client’s favour. On this, Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed adjourned the indictment of the accused until a copy of the high court’s order is received. The hearing of the case was then adjourned until September 28.
