Customs Court adjourns 14 cases as Judge was on leave

LAHORE: No proceeding was held at the Special Court of Custom Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Tuesday as the judge was on leave.

As per details, 14 different cases, including pre-arrest bail plea filed by Saiful Rehman, who is allegedly involved in smuggling case, was also adjourned for the next week.  Another case of tax evasion of Faisalabad Dry Port was scheduled for the day. The cases of the customs, smuggling and narcotics were also scheduled for hearing.

A famous case of Lahore Customs against Toufeeq Butt in which he was arrested was also scheduled for Tuesday but due to non availability of the jusdge case adjourned for 18th of February. Toufeeq Butt is a suspect in 7 kilo gram gold smuggling case.

All the case have been adjourned until next hearing as specials judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan was on leave due to unknown reason.
