LAHORE: As many as 21 different cases, including pre-arrest and post-arrest bail pleas, were scheduled on Tuesday here at the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling.
Following a protest observed by lawyers on the directions of Pakistan Bar Council, the court proceeding were not held here on Tuesday.
The Customs Court adjourned the pre-arrest bail pleas of Imran Shah, Sayed Jahanzaib Bukhari and Khuram in tax evasion and smuggling cases. The court also adjourned the post-arrest bail plea of Muhammad Rizwan in a currency smuggling case.
The cases scheduled for hearing on Tuesday included tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case was also scheduled for the day to record statements of witnesses to reach the final arguments.
