Customs Court adjourns 25 cases on Tuesday

KARACHI: Custom Court Judge Faiz Rasool Rashdi on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of 25 cases related to customs and income tax.

During the hearing, counsel for the department, special public prosecutor and accused/applicants appeared before the court and in most of cases they sought time for preparation and file para-wise comments. Therefore, the court adjourned the hearing of these cases.

According to the cause list, 12 out of 25 cases were fixed for formal hearing of accused namely as Syed Noushad Azam & others, Abdul Ghani, Khurram Shahzad & others, Naeem & others, Nasir Mehmood & others, Rana Zahoor Elahi, Zakaria Muhammad & others, Muhammad Arshad & others, Muhammad Saleem & others, Hussain Umer & others and Muhammad Abdullah & others.

Eight out of overall twenty-five cases were fixed for prosecution evidences against accused namely as Ovais & others, Mehar Muhammad Azeem & others, Muhammad Rizwan & others, Muhammad Shahid & others, Nasir Ali & others, Ashar Faisal Khan.

Five cases were fixed for confirmation of bails filed by accused namely as Naveed Ali & others, Imran Hyder & others, Shahzad Ali & others, Amir Siddique and Muhammad Yaseem & others.
