LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has extended the date of hearing against an accused who was arrested from Lahore with a truck loaded with non-duty paid expensive tyres.

Sources told Customs Today that the suspect was arrested when a team of customs intelligence intercepted a truck which was coming from Quetta near Thokar Niaz Baig. During searching of the truck, the officials found a huge quantity of smuggled tyres which were tactfully hidden and packed. Different brands of tyres were recovered from the truck, including costly tyres of Pajero, Mazada trucks and other vehicles.
