Customs Court adjourns hearing of 16 customs related cases

LAHORE: The Customs Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of 16 cases related to the customs matters.

During the hearing of the most of the cases, the counsels for accused requested the court to postpone the hearing of their respective cases for preparation of arguments on which the court adjourned the hearing for different dates.

According to the cause-list, three out of 16 cases were fixed for formal hearings of accused namely Shehzad, Shaukat Ali, Tariq Fatmi and others.

Pre-arrest bail pleas were also scheduled for Friday’s hearing.

The court also adjourned the cases of narcotics, tax evasion, smuggling and other customs matters. The cases from Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan were also scheduled for hearing.
