Customs Court adjourns hearing of 17 cases

LAHORE: The Customs Court on Friday adjourned the hearing of 17 cases. Most of the cases were related to customs issues.

During the hearing of most of the cases, the counsels for the accused requested the court to postpone the hearing of their respective cases for preparation of arguments on which the court adjourned the hearings for different dates.

According to the cause list, three out of 17 cases were fixed for formal hearing against accused namely Sajjad and others Abdullah and Tariq Fatmi and others. Pre arrest bail pleas were also scheduled for Friday but the court has also adjourned the hearing of case.

The court also adjourned cases of narcotics, tax evasion, smuggling and customs matters. Cases from Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan were also scheduled for hearing on Friday.
