Customs Court adjourns hearing of 20 customs, income tax related cases

KARACHI: Custom Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of 20 customs and income tax related cases.

During the hearing, in most of the cases, counsels for the defense (accused/applicants), counsels for the customs and Income Tax Department, including special public prosecutors argued before the court. The court adjourned the hearing of these cases to different dates.

According to the cause list, 5 out of 20 cases were fixed for formal hearing of accused namely Muhammad Asad Khan & others, Ch. Shabbir & others, Mehboob Khan & others, Raza Rehman & others, Ishtiaque Ahmed & others.

8 out of overall 20, cases were fixed for prosecution evidences against accused namely Abdul Rasheed & others, Younas Mandiwala & others, Abdul Kareem Perdasi & others, Asher Qayyum & others, Ayaz Ahmed, Muhammad Javaid & others, Muhammad Adil Ashraf and Amir Rauf & others.

Seven cases were fixed for confirmation of bail of accused namely Dilber Ali Khanji & others, Muhammad Ali Chandana & others, Dilber Ali Goa & others Shahzada Tanweer & others, Safeer Ahmed & others.
