Customs court adjourns hearing of cell phones smuggler

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has adjourned a hearing of an accused who was booked for smuggling of cell phones from China to Lahore.

As per sources of Customs Today, Naveed Bhatti was arrested by the Customs Preventive when they seized 170 assorted android mobile phones from his luggage at the Lahore airport.
On suspicion, the customs authorities intercepted accused Naveed Bhatti while he was using green channel.
The mobile phones were hidden in bottles of water which the passenger claimed that he brought them from Saudi Arabia. The sources said the total value of the mobile phones has been estimated at Rs05million. The customs authorities confiscated the mobiles and registered a case.
