LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved fourteen days judicial remand of an accused in case of cigarettes smuggling. The market value of seized goods is Rs1.3 million.
Sources told Customs Today, customs investigation team presented an accused Rameez Iftikhar before the court of customs taxation and anti smuggling judge. Customs investigation team asked the court that they have completed investigations from the accused in five days physical remand.
Sources told that on the other hand 17 other cases were also scheduled for hearing. Most of the cases were adjourned without any proceedings. Framing of charges against Rasheed also adjourned for next week.
Final arguments and statements of the concerned parties in a case of smuggling against Rafique Ali was also scheduled for hearing which is rescheduled for next week.
