LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling has extended the judicial remand of an accused who was involved in tyres smuggling.
Special Judge of Customs Court Chaudhry Ameer Muhammad Khan has sent him to jail for further 14 days.
According to details, Hazrat Ali was arrested by the Customs intelligence team from Bund Road area of Lahore in a tyres smuggling case.
Earlier, his accomplices were also on judicial remand and then they have got their post arrest bails from the court. He was in custody of Customs Investigation and Prosecution team on a three-day physical remand.
Customs investigation team after initial investigations presented him before the Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan and approved their judicial remand for 14 days.
Now once again special court has extended his judicial remand of 14 days and sent him to jail.
