LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling handed over an accused to customs investigation team to dig out into the matter regarding smuggling of huge quantity of mobile phones.
On 16.1.2019 customs investigation and prosecution team presented the accused before the court and asked for five days physical remand to investigate the case of 1305 mobile phones smuggling. On customs request the special court handed over the accused to customs for three days.
Earlier Customs Preventive team deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle mobile phones and some other items including accessories of mobile phones.
Customs team intercepted a passenger Muhammad Nadeem who was travelling from Dubai to Pakistan and recovered 1305 costly mobile phones, 3kg mobile accessories and some other items from his possession.
