Customs Court approves remand of suspect in money laundering case

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved a 14-day judicial remand of the accused, who was arrested in a currency smuggling case.

According to details, Faisal Hussain was arrested by the customs authorities at Allama Iqbal International airport. The Customs team, during search of his luggage, found a huge quantity of currency.

Accused Faisal Hussain was trying to smuggle Rs 2 million. Customs authorities found dollars, euros, pounds and Pakistani currency from his luggage.

Customs team presented him before the customs court for getting their physical remand to investigate more on the issue that was approved by the court. After completion of the remand customs team presented him again before the court and told the court that all investigation has done so court can send him jail.
