LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has disposed of bail pleas filed by accused persons allegedly involved in using smuggled vehicles.
According to the details, Special Judge Chaudary Ameer Muhamamd Khan disposed of the application of Nadir Ali and Jahanzaib, who approached the court seeking pre-arrest bail.
The Customs Intelligence had recovered vehicles, Toyota Land Cruisers, from their possession, which were imported without payment of duty/taxes through illegal means. The vehicles were impounded by the department under the customs laws.
Officials added that that they were also using fake number plates for their vehicles as their vehicles were unregistered.
