LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has extended the judicial remand of an accused who was arrested from Sialkot International Airport.
According to details available to Customs Today, an accused Muhammad Sarwar, who was arrived here from South Africa, was checked by the customs officials at Sialkot airport. The customs team found 30 costly mobile phones tactfully hidden in baggage of Muhammad Sarwar.
The customs team arrested the accused and presented him before the Customs Court for physical remand but the customs judge denied the request of the customs investigation team for physical remand and sent him to jail on judicial trial.
