LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling has extended the judicial remand of an accused who was allegedly involved in smuggling of tyres.
Special Judge Chaudhry Ameer Muhammad Khan heard the case and ordered to send him to jail for further fourteen days.
According to the details, Hazrat Ali was arrested by the Customs Intelligence team from Bund Road area of Lahore on alleged smuggling of tyres of different vehicles worth millions of rupees.
It may mention here that his accomplices were released by the court on post-arrest bails.
Earlier, the accused, Ali was in the custody of the Customs Investigation and Prosecution team on three days physical remand. The Customs Investigation team after initial interrogation presented him before the court where he was sent on the judicial remand for 14 days.
