Customs Court extends judicial remand of Humayon Rahseed

LAHORE: The Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling has extended judicial remand of accused Humayon Rasheed for the second time.

According to details, Humayon Rasheed was arrested by the Customs Intelligence in a case of smuggling and he was produced before the court where after expiry of his physical remand, the court ordered to sent him to jail on judicial remand.

On Friday after completion of 14 days judicial remand, he was produced before the court. During the hearing, the customs investigation team stated that the accused should be dealt as a culprit as they have a number of proofs against him which are being submitted in the court. The Customs Court after hearing both sides sent him to jail again on 14 days judicial remand.

Humayon Rahseed was arrested in smuggling of different items from Afghanistan through Balochistan and KPK. Customs also recovered smuggled goods worth Rs 6 million from his possession.
