LAHORE: The duty judge of the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has extended the judicial remand of an alleged cell phone smuggler.
According to the details, Tariq Kazmi was arrested by the Customs Appraisement authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport upon his arrival from a Gulf state. Customs authorities recovered 70 expensive cell phones from his luggage. The Customs authorities presented him before the court where the accused was granted judicial remand.
He was produced before the special duty judge who has approved his further judicial remand for 14 days and sent him to jail for trial.
