Customs Court extends judicial remand of alleged tyres’ smuggler

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling extends judicial remand of a suspect allegedly involved in tyres smuggling case

Special Judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan heard a case against Ali who was arrested by the Customs Intelligence team from Bund Road area of Lahore following charges of tyres smuggling worth millions of rupees.

Some of his accomplices were also on judicial remand and some of them have got their post arrest bails from the court.

Earlier, he was in custody of Customs Investigation and Prosecution team on three days physical remand. The customs investigation team after initial investigation presented him before the court where judge approved his judicial remand for 14 days. Now once again special court has extended his judicial remand of 14 days and sent him to jail.
