Customs Court extends physical remand of accused involved in liquor smuggling

KARACHI: Customs Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi has extended physical remand for another 10 days of two suspects, Rasool Bakhsh son Rahim Bakhsh and Waqas Baloch son of Muhammad Waris. Both the suspects were arrested while trying to smuggle 42 bottles of foreign origin liquor.

During the hearing, investigation officer Aijaz Ali Khoso produced both accused and requested the court for another 10-day remand which the court granted until October 21, 2016.

According to the prosecution, both above named accused persons were arrested on October 9, 2016 in connection with smuggling of 42 bottles foreign origin liquor which were recovered from possession of both accused persons who were found in a Toyota Corolla Axio car bearing registration number BWF-340.  After formalities, case was registered against the above named accused persons by custom authorities.
