Customs Court grants bail to suspect involved in smuggling of cell phone

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved bail plea of an alleged cell phone smuggler who was arrested from Allama Iqbal International Airport.

According to details, the Special Federal Court approved the bail of Tariq Kazmi in mobile smuggling case who was arrested by the Customs Appraisement Lahore Airport while he arrived from a Gulf state. The authorities of the Lahore Customs presented him before the court where the accused was sent to jail on a judicial remand. Now the Customs Court has approved his bail and adjourned the hearing of the case.

On other hand, the Customs Court heard 18 different cases on Tuesday. The court adjourned pre-arrest bail plea of Abid Hussain and Nazeer Ahmad in different cases. Other cases related to narcotics, tax evasion and smuggling were also scheduled for the day that customs court adjourned the same for new dates.
