LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has admitted the bail plea of a suspect involved in smuggling of cloth worth Rs 8 million.
Special Judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan heard the case against Niaz Muhammad who was arrested by the Faisalabad Customs and the case was pursued by the investigation and prosecution.
The accused was arrested when he was found involved in smuggling of foreign origin cloth worth Rs 8 million and he could not prove that the recovered items were legally imported.
The cloth was being smuggled from Afghanistan through Peshawar and most of the cloth was of Chinese and Korean origin.
