Customs court grants two-day physical remand of three accused smugglers

LAHORE: The special federal court of customs taxation and anti smuggling has handed over three accused to customs intelligence investigation team on a physical remand of two days.

According to Customs Today, three accused Afzal Khan, Raheem Shah and Gulab Khan were arrested by the customs intelligence. The customs has also recovered huge quantity of smuggled electronic goods from their possession. The customs told the court that accused are involved in smuggling of goods from Afghanistan into Lahore via different routes. They caused a huge loss to the national kitty in the wake of taxes and duties. Amount of the recovered items is Rs09million.

On request, the special federal court of customs taxation and anti-smuggling approved their physical remand for two days and handed them over to the investigation team.
