LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 16 cases on Friday and issued necessary orders, besides sending a suspect on judicial remand.
As per details, 16 cases of different types, including pre-arrest bail pleas moved by Kamal Shah, Muazam Ali and Azhar Fareed were scheduled for the day, which have been adjourned until the next hearing.
The court also adjourned bail plea of Ali who is already on judicial remand until the next hearing. The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day. The court proceeded against a guarantor of an accused who absent from the court despite issuing many notices.
The Customs Court also directed accused person including Muhammad Zaman, Behram Khan, Ashraf Bhatti and Muhammad Asghar to ensure attendance, besides recording statements in a case against Samina Ahmad.
The cases of narcotics, tax evasion and smuggling were scheduled for the day that the court has adjourned for next week.
