Customs Court hears 16 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, different cases were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 16 important cases including pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons as well. The court adjourned bail pleas of Usman and Tahir Niaz until next hearing of the cases.

The Customs Court also accepted bail of alleged tax evader Naeem against cash guarantee .

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.  The Court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing. The Judge of Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, Malik Meer Muhammad Khan, is conducting hearing of the cases regularly as he took his charge on last Thursday. The Court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on four different cases.
